The IAiHF has 3 main lines of action:
advocACY and LOBBY
Establish Arts in Health as an innovative strategy to generate specific health and wellbeing outcomes
- Lobby the public policy-makers the relevance of Arts in Health in the definition of policies and the design of health services
- Encourage intersectoral partnerships, public, private and with the third sector, to promote the definition, implementation and / or evaluation of health arts programs, both locally and globally
- Generate knowledge regarding the potential of the interaction between the arts and health sectors
- Maintain a constant dialogue with patient associations, professional bodies, social agents, interest groups, and other relevant stakeholders to Arts in Health.
EVIDENCE AND QUALITY
Promote scientific evidence, quality and methodological rigor in the Arts in Health
- Promote robust methodological criteria to facilitate the development of projects and interventions of Arts in Health under the principles of scientific rigor, impact, and evaluability.
- Develop quality standards for institutions involved in Arts in Health (certification and accreditation systems).
- Promote research in Arts in Health to develop academic and research projects to contribute to expand the clinical evidence
- Build alliances to create undergraduate, postgraduate, continuing education and professional training offers inArts in Health.
PROJECTS AND IMPACT
Promote the execution of top-quality arts in health projects and interventions
- Creation of an international best practices bank to encourage the exchange of experiences
- Promotion of an international award to recognize the best initiatives in Arts in Health.
- Advice on the design and management of Arts in health programs
- Support in fundraising for Arts in Health projects
- Support in grant-writing: application, management, and justification of European and competitive projects
